Letter !' i ! from Denise E. Thibault in which he explained that meter was originally was read installed to service 5 lots, No's 29 to 33. Later on Lots 29 and 30 were sold and Lots 31, 32 and 33 were being excavated to furnish a home site. They then had an fl additional meter installed to serve these 3 lots which meter was later on removed leaving the box in the ground which is located just across the line in f ront of Loi 30, adjacent to Lot 31. A general discussion followed during which it was decid. ed that Mr. Thibault was entitled to restoration of a meter to serve the three lots ! ;;i;! in question. Councilman Royer moved approval of request, seconded by Councilman Spillers subject, however, to Water Superintendent Winter satisfying himself that water is piped from original location to the top of the hill consisting of Lots 319 32 and 33. Motion carried. Mayor Britschgi voted No for the reason that he was of the opinion that owners of Lots 29 and 30 could request another meter inas- much as this present case had established a precedent. REPORT ON PROPOSED CELEBRATION TO COMMEMORATE REDWOOD CITY(S 100TH BIRTHDAY. Attorney Paul A. McCarthy appeared to discuss the matter of the proposed celebration stating •�;; l ,',Ij that the desire was to commemorate the first dwelling house located in this City in !'.,' •' '�'! `� ` 1851 at which time lumbering and shingles was the prime motive of locating a settle- ment on this site. Mr. McCarthy explained that the time was too short in which to hold this On )!, celebration year but suggested that celebration be held early in 1952. a a F. !', i,i � motion of Councilman Herkner, seconded by Councilman Jones. Movement was endorsed by unanimous vote. Mr. McCarthy suggested that the Mayor be authorized to appoint a committee of citizens to work with various fraternities and service clubs. Council- 1 man Spillers moved that each Councilman suggest the one name, the Mayor to work with the general committee, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried.
