$6 Chapter 963 of the 1951 Statutes makes necessary that this commission be notified

<br />LETTER FROM JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RECOMMENDING CERTAIN TRAFFIC SUGGESTIONS WAS RE-
<br />FERRED TO TRAFFIC FACT FINDING COMMITTEE on motion of Councilman Royer, seconded by
<br />Councilman Herkner and carried.
<br />LETTER FROM MR. H. SMITH, 24 Reese Street, protesting the barricading of bridges on Reese
<br />and Johnson Streets was read and on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded byCoun.
<br />cilman Morgan referred to the City Manager for report back. Motion carried.
<br />LETTER FROM MRS. FRANK CORSO, 1435 - 17th Street, San Francisco 7, relative to trees in
<br />front of property at 441 Redwood Avenue damaging sidewalks and curbs. Referred to
<br />the City Engineer who will follow the matter through. -
<br />TEMPORARY SEWER CONNECTION, 1635 Marshall Street. Mr. 0. S. Oleson has requested per-
<br />mission for temporary sewer lateral connecting into the temporary sewer recently con-
<br />structed by the Fraternal Order of Eagles. City Engineer Jain checked with City
<br />Attorney Currie who outlined the following conditions, should the Council grnat this
<br />temporary connection.
<br />(a) Sewer must be constructed and maintained at his expense, to be removed at his
<br />expense at any time a permanent sewer is -constructed to serve his property.
<br />(b) He to agree to pay proportionate assessment for any permanent sewer which may
<br />be constructed in Marshall Street and waive any protest against such an
<br />assessment procedure.
<br />(c) Must procure from Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #418, their written consent
<br />to his connecting. to their temporary sewer line, copy to be furnished to Mr.
<br />Jain's office.
<br />(d) To signify his acceptance of permit under above conditions by signing copy of
<br />City Engineer's letter with these conditions listed and returning same to Mr.
<br />Jain and by having Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #418, Redwood City,
<br />endorse their approval upon the same.
<br />On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Royer, temporary connection
<br />was allowed subject to the conditions as referred to above. Motion carried.
<br />INSPECTION DWELLING AT 304 Bradford Street. The Building Department made an inspection
<br />of these premises and found several violations to the Building Code, and it was
<br />their recommendation that the above mentioned dwelling be corrected and list of
<br />conditions be made to comply and moved from Fire Zone No. 1, or be demolished.
<br />Councilman Royer moved, seconded by Councilman Spillers that recommendation of
<br />Building Department be approved, owner, Lillian Brentnall, 930 Bay Street, San Fran-
<br />cisco 9, to be given 30 days to correct conditions.
<br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL APPLICATION JAMES POMPOSO TO RESUBDIVIDE SOUTd-
<br />ERLY 1/2 of Lot 3, Block 6, Friendly Acres #2 into two lots subject to the follow-
<br />ing conditions; .
<br />1. Rear fifty feet be dedicated for street purposes.
<br />2. Owner furnish the City with a policy of title insurance.
<br />Recommendation approved by Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Jones and
<br />carried.
<br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS STATED THAT HE HAD OBSERVED STOP SIGNS AT HUDSON AND JAMES AVENUE
<br />PARTLY OBSTRUCTED BY TREES, a similar condition existing at Roosevelt and Hudson
<br />Street Stop Signs. He suggested that all stop signs in this area be surveyed and
<br />the condition be corrected.
<br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS SUGGESTED THAT OWNERS OF PROPERTY IN THE VICINITY FROM BREWSTER AVE'
<br />TO WHIPPLE AVENUE ON BAYSHORE BE CONTACTED BY LETTER asking their cooperation in
<br />cleaning up untidy conditions to correct eyesore to an entrance to the City from
