31. Said proposed improvements are hereby referred to the City Engineer, as the 41 <br />officer having charge and control of the construction of public, improvements in said <br />City of the kind described herein, being a competent person employed for that purpose, <br />City Engineer is hereby directed to make <br />and said and file with the City Clerk of said <br />City, a report in writing, presenting the following: <br />(a) Maps and descriptions showing the general route and termini of lands <br />and easements to be acquired; <br />;.� <br />(b) Plans and specifications of the proposed improvements to be made pur- <br />suant to this Resolution of Intention; <br />(c) Engineer's statement of the itemized and total estimated costs and <br />i <br />expenses of said acquisitions and improvements and of the incidental expenses <br />in connection therewith; <br />(d) Diagram showing the assessment district above referred to, and also <br />the boundaries and dimensions of the respective subdivisions of land within <br />e <br />said assessment district as the same existed at the time of the passage of this <br />Resolution of Intention, each of which subdivisions shall be given a separate <br />number upon said diagram; <br />J. <br />(e) A proposed assessment of the total amount of the cost and expenses of <br />the proposed improvements and' acquisitions upon the several subdivisions of <br />land in said assessment district in proportion to the estimated benefits to be <br />received by such subdivisions, respectively, from said acquisitions and improve- <br />ments, and of the expenses incidental thereto. <br />32. Reference is hereby made to proceedings taken pursuant to Ordinance No. 515 <br />of said City, as amended, establishing procedure pursuant to ;Section 17 of Article <br />XIII of the Constitution of the State of California. <br />33• If any excess shall be realized from the assessment it shall be spent for <br />the maintenance -of said acquisitions and improvements, unless the Council shall <br />hereafter determine that said amount or any part thereof shall be applied as a credit <br />to each assessment herein. <br />I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted and passed by the <br />City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, at a regular meeting thereof <br />held on the 3rd day of July, 1950, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: GRANGER, JONES, ROPER, MORGAN, HERKNER, <br />and Mayor BRITSCHGI. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT"*. Attorney Wilson stated the estimate of plans, <br />specifications and diagram of the assessments had been completely gone over twice by <br />the Council. Councilman Royer moved approval of Engineer's report, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Morgan and carried. Councilman Morgan offered resolution and moved adoption, <br />seconded by Councilman Jones and carried on roll calls Councilman Spillers noted <br />absent. <br />RESOLUTION No. 891 <br />OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />BROADWAY -MARSHALL STREET AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, that <br />WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of July, 1950, said Council did adopt its Resolution of <br />Intention No. 890 to open, widen and extend Marshall Street, a portion of which was <br />formerly known as Liguori Street, between Redwood Creek and Chestnut Street, Broadway <br />between Spring Street and Chestnut Street, and the improving of said Marshall Street <br />between Jefferson Avenue and Chestnut Street, Broadway between Spring Street and <br />Redwood Industrial Tract No. 1 Subdivision, Maple Street between Spring Street and <br />Bradford Street, Bay Road between Beech Street and Chestnut Street, and the alley <br />south of Broadway between Cassia Street and Chestnut Street, and Cassia Street <br />between Spring Street and Broadway, by grading, paving, curbs, gutter, sidewalks, <br />sanitary sewers, storm drains and electrical system, together with a bridge and <br />storm drain pumping plant across and in Redwood Creek in Marshall Street, together <br />E <br />
