Motion carried. <br />CITY MANAGER ROLISON REQUESTED AUTHORITY TO CREATE A FULL TIME POSITION FOR CLERK -TYPIST <br />to work half time in the City Manager's office and half time in the City Clerk's office <br />which position is made necessary by the workload accumulating rapidly in these depart- <br />ments. He explained that it would be necessary to transfer sufficient money to cover <br />the balance of this present fiscal year recommending that the sum of 01915 be so <br />transferred. <br />COUNCILMAN ROYER OFFERED RESOLUTION No. 1186 AND MOVED ADOPTION, transferring $1915 from <br />Unbudgeted Reserve, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried on roll call. Councilman <br />Spillers noted absent. <br />CHANGING NAME OF CONNECTICUT STREET TO CONNECTICUT DRIVE. Councilman Morgan offered <br />introduction of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF MR. R. MAZZONI for use permit <br />to conduct Used Car Lot at 2005 E1 Camino Real (Main and El Camino Ral) subject to the <br />following conditions. <br />1. Only southerly 25' of property to be used. <br />2. Pump island be removed. <br />3. No junk cars on the lot. <br />3 <br />A ' fence be erected between the service station and the used car lot. <br />5. Use permit be issued for six months. <br />After discussion Councilman herkner moved that this matter he held over to the next <br />meeting to give sufficient time for study of the mater, seconded by Councilman Morgan <br />Motion carried. <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF MAP OF STERLING HEIGHTS No. 1 subject <br />tothe following conditions. <br />1. Final checking of improvement plans and specifications. <br />2. Receipt of letter from City and County of San Francisco, approving street <br />crossings across the 801 right of way at Briarfield Avenue and Hastings <br />Avenue, and approving grades of such crossings, as was done for Sterling <br />Highlands No. 3. <br />3. Park site should be identified as Block A for convenient legal reference. <br />Park site should be dedicated to the City, either by deed or by certificate <br />on title sheet. <br />1{. Satisfactory performance bond to be furnished, based on the City Engineer's <br />estimate of work to be done. <br />5. All documents required by the subdivision ordinance to be furnished. <br />6. Preliminary title report. <br />7. Show width of existing streets. <br />8. Show names of streets in existing portions connecting, and also portion of <br />Roosevelt Avenue. <br />9. Show width of existing Roosevelt Avenue, and total width of streets in all <br />blocks. <br />10. Show pipe monuments at beginning and end of all property line curves, <br />Section 6.31, <br />11. Map shows all pipe monuments in adjoining tracts existing. These must be <br />replaced if not existing at time of acceptance of all improvements in this <br />tract. <br />Councilman Morgan moved that the matter be returned to the Planning Commission and <br />held up until these conditions had been met, before final approval of map, seconded <br />by Councilman Jones. Mr. James Breen appeared stating that the purpose of submitting <br />the matter for the Council's approval was in an effort to have the map approved so <br />that the crews could continue working without a lay-off. Mr. Breen stated furhter <br />that neither Mr. Jain nor the City Clerk would sign the map until conditions had -been <br />met. Mr. Leonard Joesten advised that several of the items listed were changes in <br />drafting and did not materially affect the map. Motion was withdrawn by Councilman <br />Morgan with the consent of the second and Councilman Royer moved approval of the map <br />subject to conditions as listed, seconded by Councilman Herkner, and carried. <br />FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF DOUGLAS AVENUE IMPROVEMENT JOB. City Engineer Jain stated that there <br />were a few items to be cleaned up, however a bond would not be released until items <br />were completed.
