Councilman Spillers moved <br />the matter be carried over to the meeting of February 4th for the inspection and <br />report to be brought in by the Building Inspector, Fire Inspector and 'Health Depart- <br />ment, seconded by Councilman Jones, and carried. <br />CITY ENGINEER JAIN RECOI,MENDED ACCEPTANCE OF DOUGLAS AVENUE PROJECT subject to Contractor <br />agreeing to correct any minor items before issuance of warrant. Mr. Jain explained <br />that he was in favor of releasing the improvement bond, the warrant being of sufficil <br />guaranty that extra work would be taken care of. City Engineer Jain reeommendt <br />acquisition of parcel of land between Hudson Street and Reese Street as covered by <br />Mr. Nit. L. Hildreth's 10 year to the City option for the sum of $1750, also land for <br />extension of Junipero Sierra between Fairview Avenue and the creek for the sum of <br />$2100 as covered by option obtained from Redwood Terrace Company. <br />RESOLUTION No41202 WAS OFFERED BY COUNCILMAN SPILLERS, TRANSFERRING NECESSARY FUNDS from i <br />Unbudgeted Reserve, who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried on <br />roll call. Councilman Royer noted absent. <br />ACQUISITION RIGHT-OF-WAY TOPAZ NEAR HARDING AVENUE. City Engineer Jain advised that a <br />petition is being circulated for full street improvements on Topaz Street between <br />Jefferson Avenue and the existing improvements on Topaz Street north of Harding Aveni; <br />Portions of Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block 10 Jefferson Avenue Addition, were recently <br />acquired from a Mr. Laurie for re -alignment of Topaz Street north of Harding Avenue. <br />Lots 4 and 6, Block 11 Jefferson Avenue Addition, still remain to be acquired for <br />are <br />completion of Harding Avenue. We/advised that there are delinquent and current taxes <br />against Lot 6 as follows: <br />City: Delinquent 11�3O.06 <br />Current 3.21 033.27 <br />County: Delinquent 031.82 <br />Current 5.88 L - O <br />$70.97 <br />City Engineer Jain recommended that the Real Estate Committee be requested to <br />establish an appraised value on the above lots, and that the City Manager be author- <br />ized to offer the present property owners the difference between the appraised value <br />and the taxes mentioned above, less any improvement assessments against these lots, <br />so that we may proceed with this assessment district as soon as possible. On motion <br />of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Jones this matter has been referred <br />to the Real Estate Committee for further recommendation. Motion carried. <br />PLANNING COMPdISSIONS' RECOMMENDATION ON RESUBDIVISION OF LOT 7, Block 5, Friendly Acres <br />Ido. 2, Kenneth Lund, into two 50 foot lots instead of the 4 lots requested, subject <br />to the following conditions: (1) Rear 50 -ft be deeded for street purposes, (2) <br />policy of title insurance be furnished to the City without cost to the City, <br />(Property location 15th and Bay Road). The Planning Commission modified the appli- <br />cation because Mr. Lund is in no position to improve the extension of Rose Avenue <br />
