All of said work and improvements are to be constructed at the places, in the 71, <br />manner, of the sizes, of the materials, and to the lines, grades and elevations as <br />shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor, and on file in the <br />office of the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City, and the same are made a <br />part hereof by reference thereto. <br />Whenever any public way is referred to as running between two public ways, or <br />from or to any public way, the intersections of the public ways referred to are in- <br />cluded to the extent that work shall be done therein pursuant to the plans and speci- <br />fications hereinbefore referred to. <br />Said Council does hereby adopt and establish as the official grades for said work <br />the grades as shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor and here- <br />in before referred to. <br />The total estimated <br />cost <br />ofsaid <br />prodements as determined by the City Engineer <br />ni <br />of Redwood City, itm 03(x1,000.00. <br />Said contemplated work and improvements, in the opinion of said City Council, is <br />of more than local or ordinary public benefit and said Council does hereby make the <br />cost and expenses of doing such work and improvements chargeable upon a distric, <br />trhich district said Council declares to be the district benefited by said work and <br />improbements and to be assessed to pay the entire cost and expense thereof and which <br />said district is wholly within the limits of said City of Redwood City, State of <br />California, and is described as follows: <br />BEGINNING at the intersection of the Corporate Limit line of the City of <br />Redwood City, 23.66 feet Southerly from the Northerly line of Bay Road, 83.00 <br />feet in width, with the center line of Fifthe Avenue, 70.00 feet in width; <br />thence Northerly along the center line of Fifth Avenue to its intersection <br />with the Southerly line of the Bayshore Highway, 125.00 feet in width; thence <br />easterly along said Southerly line of Bayshore Highway to its intersection <br />with the City of Redwood City, said Corporate Limit line being 13.00 feet <br />Easterly of the Westerly line of Marsh Road, 73.00 feet in width; thence <br />Southerly along said line to its intersection with Northerly line of the <br />Southern Pacific Company Right of Way, commonly known as the Dumbarton Cutoff; <br />thence Southwesterly along said Right of Way to its intersection with the <br />Corporate City Limit line of Redwood City, said line being 23.00 feet South- <br />erly of the Northerly line of Bay Road; thence along said Corporate Limit <br />line to the point of beginning. <br />There is excepted from said district all streets. <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, and said Council of said City does determine, that <br />serial bonds to represent the unpaid assessments of $25.00 or over, bearing interest <br />at the rate of six per cent (6f) per annum. will be issued pursuant to the provisions <br />of Division 7, Part 5 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, <br />as amended, the last installment of which bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years <br />from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the 15th day of the next October <br />following their date. <br />Reference is hereby made to the resolution of said Council determining to make <br />said improvements without compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, <br />Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, being Resolution No. 907 on file in <br />the office of the City Clerk of said City. <br />All work provided for herein shall be done as provided in said Improvement Act - <br />of 1911 as amended. <br />NOTICE'IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that Monday, the loth day of August, 1950, at <br />the hour of 8:00 P. Pfi. of said day, at the Council Chamber•of said Council of said <br />City, in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said 'City, has been and is hereby <br />fixed asthe day, hour and place when and where any and all persons having any <br />objections to the proposed work and improvements described herein, or to the grade <br />to which said work and improvements are to be done and made, or to the district <br />proposed to be. assessed for said work and improvements, may appear before said <br />Pouncil of said City and show cause why said proposed work and improvements should <br />not be carried Gut and done in accordance with this resolution of intention, or why <br />said work and improvements should not be carried out and done at the grades as <br />shown on the plans, profiles, and detailed drawings referred to herein, and for <br />hearing any protests in relation to said proposed improvement. <br />r <br />The Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) newspaper, published, printed <br />and circulated in said Cityof Redwood Cit is hereby designated by the Council of <br />said City as the newspaper in which to publish this Resolution of Intention as <br />required by law, and the Clerk of said City of Redwood City is ordered and directed <br />to cause this Resolution of Intention to be published in said newspaper twice, as <br />required by law. <br />The Street Superintendent of said City of Redwood City shall cause notices of <br />the passage of this Resolution of Intention to be posted in the time, form, manner <br />and number as required by law. <br />The Clerk of said City shall mail notices of the adoption of this Resolution <br />Of Intention to allersons owningreal property proposed to be assessed, whose <br />names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for said City <br />taxes, prior thereto, in time, form and manner as required by law. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof, hold on the 17th day of July, 1950, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foreoin resolution, <br />Councilmen: GRANGER, HERKNER, JONES, MORGAI12 ROPER, SPILLERS, AIT90GI. <br />a <br />I� i <br />! c <br />i <br />�i <br />
