75 <br />RESOLUTION No. 914 OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS, OAK, REESE AND <br />JOHNSON STREET. Council an Jones offered resolution and moved adoption, <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. <br />RESOLUTION No. 914 <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT <br />CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS <br />OAK, REESE, and JOHNSON STREETS <br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, that the public <br />convenience and necessity require, and that it intends to order in accordance <br />with the procedure set out in Article I of Ordinance No, 333 of said City, <br />adopted March 144 1932, as amended, the following work to be done and Improve- <br />ments to be made in and for said City, to wit: <br />(1) The improvement of Oak Avenue from King Street to a point opposite <br />the northerly line of Lot 9, Block 1, resubdivision of Lot 29, Reese Subdivision, <br />the improvement of Johnson Street fromOak Avenue to Redwood Avenue, and the <br />improvement of Reese Street from Oak Avenue to Redwood Avenue by constructing <br />and installing therein 21' asphaltic concrete paving 31' wide on a 6" crusher <br />run rock base, standard concrete curbs and gutters,on either side thereof, standard <br />concrete sidewalks on either side thereof and standard driveway approaches. <br />(2) The construction and installation of a storm sewer system complete in <br />place as follows: <br />(a.) In reese Street a 15" reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer <br />extending approximately 4.811 in a northwesterly• direction in <br />said street from a standard reinforced concrete catch basin <br />to be constructed at the intersection of Reese Street and <br />Redwood Avenue to Redwood Creek. <br />(b) In Johnson Street a 15" reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer <br />extending approximately 32' in a northwesterly direction in <br />said street from a standard reinforced concrete catch basin <br />to be constructed at the intersection of Redwood Avenue and <br />Johnson Street to Redwood Creek. <br />(c) 15" reinforced concrete pipe siphons at the following location <br />complete with standard reinforced concrete catch basins at <br />either end thereof as follows: <br />1.- One across Reese Street sit Oak Avenue. <br />2.- One across Johnson Street at Oak Avenue. <br />(3) The construction and installation of 10' x 6' reinforced concrete <br />box culverts complete with welded pipes, hand rails and reinforced concrete <br />head walls at the following locations: <br />(a) One across Johnson Street covering Redwood Creek at a point <br />approximately 70' northwesterly from the intersection of <br />Johnson Street and Redwood Avenue <br />(b) One across Reese Street covering Redwood Creek at a point <br />Northwesterly from the intersection of Redwood Avenue and <br />Reese Street and the removal of an existing wooden bridge <br />structure now covering Redwood Creek. <br />(4) The construction and installation of all work and furnishing all mater- <br />ial necessary therefor, auxiliary to any of the work provided to be done in <br />sections 1 through 3 hereof which may be reasonably required to carry out the <br />same. <br />All of said work and improvements are to be constructed at the places in <br />the manner, of the sizes, of the materials, and to the lines, grades and <br />elevations as shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor, <br />and on file in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City, <br />and the same are made a part hereof by reference thereto. <br />Whenever any public way is referred to as running between two public ways <br />or from or to any public way, the intersections of the public ways referred to <br />are included to the extent that work shall be done therein pursuant to the <br />Plans and specificat i.ons hereinbefore referred to. <br />Said Council does hereby adopt and establish as the official grPdes for <br />said work the grades as shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made there- <br />for and hereinbefore referred to. <br />The total estimated cost of said improvements as determined by the City <br />Engineer of Redwood City, California, is the sum of $31.16.15-, <br />;NI <br />I <br />MD <br />me <br />I <br />i <br />
