Councilman <br />Britschgi stated that a solution had been worked out and the only question left to be <br />answered was the water situation. Councilman Spillers stated that the subdivider should <br />be made to fill the requirements of the City Engineer so that the people in the area <br />will not be subject to flood conditions. Motion carried, Councilman.Britschgi voting <br />"Not' <br />Councilman Spillers moved approval of the City Engineer's recommendation that the City <br />kk pay 3/4 of the cost of a 6 -inch water line, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. Mayor Herkner stated that the Council has <br />no authority over the Planning Commission to over -ride their action, and he further <br />stated that the PG&E should, for their own safety, wait the 30 days before building <br />their sub -station. Mrs. Alice Rankin, 1931 Woodside Road, stated that she had addressed <br />the Planning Commission as a representative of thq Green Knolls Terrace Improvement <br />Club. She stated that the Club was going to rake an appeal to the Planning Commission's <br />decision. <br />907 Katherine Avenue, protested the parking lot.being in a residential area. Assistant <br />i <br />City Attorney Lebsack stated that the parking lot was permissible in this case as it <br />Mr. <br />Oleson, who lives in <br />the County but was within <br />the 300' radius, stated that he had <br />mailed <br />an appeal to the <br />Council that morning. The <br />City Clerk advised the .Council that <br />he <br />had not received the <br />appeal in the day's mail. <br />In order to set up a public hearing <br />as <br />soon as possible, the <br />Mayor asked Mrs. Rankin to <br />please write her appeal and present <br />it <br />later in the evening. <br />2. <br />First Baptist Church <br />off-strett parking lot at <br />Iris and James. Mr. Bruce Schott, <br />907 Katherine Avenue, protested the parking lot.being in a residential area.
