The City Manager was asked to <br />secure a copy of the resolution and turn it over to some department head to see that it was carried out. <br />Councilman Stout raised the question of double parking on Franklin Street by the Mayfair Market by Commuters. <br />The Police Department will check into this matter. <br />Councilman Weiss read a written statement with regard to maters that have been postponed or.passed•over and <br />which have not yet been fully considered and disposed of. The Mayor announced that the City Clerk had <br />turned in^a list of incomplete projects. Councilman Granger moved that this report be turned over to the <br />City Manager for a report back to the Council$ seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />Councilman Britschgi reported that the softball Championship of Northern California will be held in Redwood City <br />r , <br />starting on Saturday, August 11th at 8:00 P. M. Councilman Britschgi extended an invitation to the Council <br />on behalf of Red Morton to attend the opening ceremonies on August 11th. <br />Councilman Britschgi stated that they should set a meeting between Redwood City, San Carlos and Belmont to <br />consider common problems. <br />Councilman Herkner brought up the subject of the water reservoir. The Mayor stated that this is on the list <br />made up by the City Clerk. City Manager Rolison stated that Water Superintendent Winter had met with Mr. <br />Brian in regard to the specs and plans. City Attorney Currie stated that the land now belonged to the <br />City, Water Superintendent Winter reported that he had made some changes which Mr. Brian was going to try <br />to push through. <br />Councilman Britschgi was of the opinion that the Council should be given an answer on any topic they brought up. <br />• <br />This was followed by discussion. <br />Tom Tuite, Jr., addressed the Council and asked if they had given further consideration to his request in regard <br />to the Parking Lot #3 and the extension of Marshall Street. The Mayor set a study meeting for 8:00 P. M. <br />on August 20th to take up the matter. City Attorney Currie stated that this would be a wasted meeting. He <br />would be glad to talk to Mr. Tuite after the Council and explain what has been done. He further stated <br />that he would still act as the attorney for the City on this matter even after he leaves, the employ of the <br />city. Mr. Currie was asked to make a progress report in two weeks. <br />Councilman Granger moved that the City Manager be given 30 days to make a progress report on every item of the <br />incompleted projects that can be answered which has received action of the Council., seconded by Councilman <br />Britschgi and carried. <br />The Mayor asked the City Clerk to prepare a new list of incompleted projects and submit it to him every <br />two weeks. <br />A resident from Redwood Village brought up the subject of a street light at the entrance of their subdivision. <br />Councilman Granger moved that this be placed on theagenda for nest meeting,, seconded by Councilman Britschgi <br />and carried. <br />Claims 19830 through 20001s totaling $6215,860.68, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Stout, seconded by <br />Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Councilman Britschgi moved that the meeting be adjournedp seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried.
