eq26 <br />adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. Councilman. Weiss wanted to know if this would in any way <br />effect the restriction. Councilman Stout left the meeting at 11:50 P.M. City Engineer Jain stated <br />that all the conditions will be met and the only change is the date of completion. The motion carried <br />on roll call with Councilman Stout and Mayor.Royer being noted absent. <br />RESOLUTION 2142 SETTING FORTH THE PETITION AND REQUEST OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF THE <br />SEQUOIA RESERVOIR SITE was offered by Councilman Herkner who moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman <br />Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilman Stout and Mayor Royer being noted absent. <br />Mayor Granger asked the Clerk to carry, the item of Wm. F. Graham regarding water service for Lots 8 and 9.. <br />Block 601, Highlands of Emerald Lake on the agenda for one week. <br />Councilman Stout returned to the meeting at 11:53 P.M. <br />LETTER FROM PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION REGARDING LESING CITY PROPERTY ADJACENT TO HAWES PARK SCHOOL TO <br />THE REDWOOD CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT. At the present time this area is useless to .the City and <br />if the School District leasew this land they will pave the area and make it useable to the City <br />Recreation Department during its after school recreation program. This was followed by discussion after <br />which Councilman Spillers moved to refer this to the City Attorney for a proper agreement, description <br />for the City Engineer, 10 year time limit, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br />Dinner meeting, Peninsul, Division of the League of Caifornia Cities to b e held at the El Rancho Motel, <br />Millbrae on Noveuber 15, 7:30 P.M. The Council made note of the date. <br />CLAIM QF FLORENCE THRIG AGAINST THE CITY FOR A FALL ON THE SIDEWALK was denied and referred t o the insurance <br />carrier on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />Councilman Britschgi referred to Nimitz Avenue. He was of the opinion, that where streets are put in by the <br />County and are contingent to the City, that the Council should be given authorization to state the size <br />of the streets that are put into the subdivisions. Sullivan, Church of the Nazarene. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present; Councilman Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. <br />Herkner, Robert V. Spillers, Hiram S. Stout, Louis Weiss, Mayor William H. Royer and Clerk pro -tem <br />John J. Brophy. Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Attorney Robert Costello, City <br />Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Planning Commissioner Vincent Rambo, Rec- <br />reation Director Alfred Morton, Assistant to City Manager L. A. Kimball, Building Inspecotr S. H. <br />Kreiss, Police Chief William Faulstich, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi and Account -Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES of November 5th and November 13th, Councilman Spillers moved approval of the <br />minutes as mailed, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. Councilman Stout stated that he had a correction <br />he would like made on page 5 of the minutes of November 13th. He asked that they delete from the <br />minutes the statement that he did not have any recommendation to make. He stated that he did make <br />
