379 <br />discussion. Reverend J. Seidel Peterson stated that the majority of the people in this location are <br />objecting to the dancing and he was speaking for over 300 people. His group do not believe that this type <br />of recreation was going to be in the best interest of the people. This was followed by considerable dis— <br />cussion after which Reverend Peterson agrieed to go along with the Council and let Mr. Huddleton have the <br />permit on a trial basis. Reverend Peterson stated that they would rather have the dancing on Saturday than <br />on Sunday.. Mr. Huddleton spoke on behalf of his project ane stated that he understood what he was expected <br />to do and understands the conditions of the permit: Reverend Davis spoke against the dance permit and <br />stated that he did not believe that minors should be allowed to enter the building and take part in the <br />dancing. .Councilman Weiss asked the maker of the motion to include in the motion that no minors be allayed. <br />Councilman Spillers stated that he did agree to h6t allow the minors and but that they should be allowed <br />if they are escorted by their parents. This was inluded in the motion which carried. <br />I SIDEWALK COMMITTEE REPORT REGARDING REQUEST FOR EXTENSIONS ON SIDEUALK NOTICES. <br />The Committee made the following recommendation: <br />tiguous that they both be given an extension of time to February 21st. Councilman Stout moved to grant <br />the extensions as recommended, seconded by Councilman Weiss. Motion carried. <br />„ CITY MANAGER REPORT REGARDING PROCEEDING WITH PARKING LOT VI.
