The Belle Haven Realty Co., contractor for the Police Station, received notification from his sub-con- tractor ubcon- tractor for floor covering asking that he be relieved of his part in the contract. Coun- cilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2253 AUTHORIZING SUBSTITUTION OF FLOOR COVERING SUB- CONTRACTOR IN CONNECTION WITH CONSTRUCTION OF REDWOOD CITY POLICE STATION and moved its adoption, secnnded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roil call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. Letter from the North Redwood Little League inviting the Council to their opening night on June 7, 1957, at Hawes Park at 6 p.m. The Mayor stated. that he had received two notices of a bill to be considered by the Assembly Committee on Conservation on May 30th. This bill is in regard to adoption of Route B for the new Junipero Serra Freeway. The City Attorney outlined the contents of the bill. Councilman Weymouth moved that the City Manager be authorized to see that the proper information and/or person get the necessary information to the State Assembly. This was followed by discussion after which the motion was changed to direct the City Manager to see that the information of the Council favoring Roube B and opposed Route A get to the Assembly Committee on time for the meeting, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried.
