Upon being advised by the Auditor <br />that there was a refund check included, Councilman Weiss stated that in his opinion <br />such payment was irregular and improper. Councilman Granger asked the City Auditor <br />if he thought these payments were in order. The City Auditor answered yes. Council- <br />man Herkner stated that he was the court ruling and these payments were in order. The <br />motion carried with Counei]m an Weiss voting NO. <br />CITY OF HOPE, PENINSULA CHAPTER, asked for permission to conduct a Volunteer Neighbors <br />March on approximately June 25th to 29th. The Clerk read the letter. Councilman <br />Herkner moved that permission be given, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Councilman -Weymouth moved that the meeting be adjourned to June 24th at the hour of 8:00 p.m <br />seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. Kimball and <br />Senior Stenographer Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON REHEARING OF OFFICIAL PLAN LINES FOR JEFFERSON AVENUE BETWEEN EL CAMINO <br />REAL AND MIDDLEFIELD ROAD. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. The <br />Clerk read the letter from the Planning Commission dated February 13, 1957• Richard <br />Wirthheimer, attorney for Dr. Mayer, was present and stated that he would speak on the <br />question. The Clerk read the title of the resolution setting the plan lines. The <br />City Attorney stated that there was an error in the publication of the orA;ginal <br />resolution and public hearing and this was a rehearing on the same resolution. Councily <br />man Weymouth moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Spillers <br />' and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2272 ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL PLAN LINES ON <br />JEFFERSON AVENUE BETWEEN EL CAMINO REAL AND MIDDL-47IELD ROAD and moved its adoption, <br />seconded by Councilman Granger. Councilman Weiss stated that he voted against this <br />�j. last time because the State had this street classified as a major city street which <br />required eighty-four feet. However, since that time he can see the justification for <br />the reduction as requested by the property owners and will go along with the eighty- <br />one foot street. The motion carried on roll call. <br />Planning Commissioner Rambo stated that there officially wasntt any plan lines on <br />Jefferson Avenue between El Camino Real and Middlefield Road until this resolution <br />was adopted tonight. For that reason they had not been able to grant a variance to <br />
