Councilman <br />. .Royer moved to set the matter for public hearing on November 21sts seconded by Councilman Stehle and <br />carried. , <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />I <br />Board of Directors of the Peninsula Chapter of the Engineering and Grading Contractors Association of <br />California Stated their objections to the bid awarding procedure on Parking Lot VI: <br />John D. Phillips$ representing the Association of Bay Area Governments answered the City Managerts let- <br />ter of inquiry regarding the cost of joining the Association. The City Manager was aksed to place this <br />matter on the agenda for next week. <br />Councilman Granger raised the question as to whether or not the alternate lights on Broadway were being <br />turned off too soon each night. The City Engineer stated that he would investigate the matter. All <br />the lights were to stay on until midnight. <br />.Claims 34529 through 34699s totaling $108*542.911 were ordered Maid pn motion of Councilman Royer, seconded <br />by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. Rosselli, VE.Lliam H. R oyer$ Harold C. Stehle, Mayor Ray A. Weymouth and City Clerk <br />Helen C. Moore. Also noted present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello$ <br />Police Chief William Faulstich, Fire Chief J. L. Lodis Planning Director Dick Wilkinson$ City Engineer <br />Glenn M. Jain, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel, Building <br />Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Traffic Engineer Arthur Eskeli.ns Planning Commissioner James MacDonald and <br />Deputy City Clerk Vivian Rifbjerg. <br />Councilman Royer moved approval of the minutes of November 7s 1960, as mailed$ seconded by Councilman Stehle <br />and carried. <br />Continuation of public hearing on rseolution of intention by the Planning Commission to amend Ordinance No. <br />60U to prohibit dwellings and residential uses in districts other than "Rt' Districts. The public hear- <br />ing was declared open. There being no protests$ written or orals Councilman Rosselli moved that the <br />matter be continued to November 21st, seconded by Councilman Granger. After discussion the motion was <br />changed to continue the matter to November 28th and carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE PLANNING CWMSION.TO ADOPT OFFICIAL PLAN LINES FOR <br />PLAN LINES FOR THE EXTENSION OF NORTHUMBERLAND AVENUE NELY AND SELY TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH OAKWOOD <br />DRIVE; THE EXTENSION OF CYPRESS STREET SOOUTHEASTERLY TO ITS INTERSECTION 7711TH OAKWOOD BLVD. EAST; THE <br />EXTENSION OF CARLOS AVENUE FROM THE EXTENSION OF CYPRESS STREET NELY TO ITS <br />WITH THE EX- <br />TENSION OF NORTHUMBERLAND AVENUE; ONE UNNAMED CUL-DE-SAC STREET SWLY FROM THE EXTENSION OF <br />AVENUE;. AND TWO UNNAMED CUL -de -SAC STREETS NWLY AND SELY FROM THE EXTENSION OF CARLOS AVENUE. The public <br />hearing was declared open and the affidavits of notice were ordered filed. The rpport of the Planning <br />Commission was read. There were no written protests. Mr. Robert Hunters attorney representing the <br />Boicelliss Devincenzis and Algiers hotels asked that the Council amend the recommendation of the Plan- <br />ning Camaission and that the extension from Oakwood Boulevard northerly to Northumberland to the <br />
