The Alameda Suite San Jose, CA Subject: Additional Services for fhe Sequoia Hospital Transporfation lmpacf Analysis (TIA) SJ04-794 Dear Nora: The purpose of this letter is to present our cost estimate and schedule for additional services for the abave referenced project. The hospital project was put on hotd for approximately one year and the transportation impact analysis (TIA) needs to be updated with the latest infiormation. We propose to conduct the following tasks to update the analysis: • Obtain and review a list of approved and pending projects from the City • Add the Hopkins/Alameda de ias Pulgas intersection as two separate intersections (includes count already conducted for analysis) • Add three residential roadway segments for analysis (two segments on Circle Drive and one segment on Upland Drive) • Roadway counts for new segments listed above (to be obtained upon approval of contract amendment) • Establish trip generation estimates #or the proposed hospital expansion using rates that are appropriate far each development scenario • Add second Cumulative Scenario that represents higher occupancy of facility • Calculate the levels of service for all study intersections and roadway segments under all scenarios, identify impacts and, if necessary, mitigation measures to offset the impacts • Summarize the findings in a report We estimate the cost to complete these tasks is We can revise our analysis and submit updated reports approximately four to five weeks from receipt of the updated approved/pending project list.
