Item No. 17 (continued) <br />The following players also urged the Council to contribute City funds for the <br />soccer trip: <br />Eric Hassell, 1244 Connecticut, <br />Brian Davis, 2563 Bri arfi eld Avenue <br />Andy Jenkins, 267 Grand Street <br />Tom Nolan, 2787 Sussex Way <br />Marshall Hird, 2563 Hampton <br />In response to question, Ms. Molnar acknowledged that there is a girls soccer <br />team which is also planning to represent Redwood City in Germany next summer <br />M /S: Stangel /Chandler that the City contribute $1,500 to the boys group from <br />AYSO for their trip to Germany and that $1,500 be contributed to the girls <br />soccer group which will also represent the City in Germany. <br />MOTION WITHDRAWN: Councilman Stangel Withdrew his motion. <br />M /S: Stangel /Chandler that the City contribute $1,500 to the boys group from <br />AYSO for the trip to Germany in response to their request this evening and <br />that the girls soccer group be encourged to request a similar contribution. <br />The motion failed on the following roll call vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmen Britschgi, Stangel and Vice Mayor Chandler <br />Noes: Councilmen Bury, Greenalch, LaBerge and Mayor Claire <br />M /S: LaBerge /Bury that the City contribute $2,500 to the boys group from <br />AYSO for the trip to Germany in response to their request. <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER N0. 88 -14 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY AND PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />1.
