(continued) <br />(Council recessed from 1:35 to 1:45 a.m.) <br />Mayor Claire left the Chair at 1:46 a.m. for the purpose of seconding a <br />motion. Vice Mayor Chandler took the Chair and Mayor Claire returned <br />immediately after seconding the motion below. <br />M /S: Britschgi /Clai re that because of the overall size of the building and <br />because it is not similar to the rest of the neighborhood to grant the appeal <br />of Bert J. Barrett and reverse the decision of the Planning Commission <br />approving the Planned Development Permit for the Sequoia Medical Office <br />Building at Whipple Avenue and Alameda de las Pulgas. <br />The motion carried on the following roll call vote. <br />Ayes: Councilmen Britschgi, Greenalch, LaBerge and Mayor Claire <br />Noes: Councilmen Bury, Stangel and Vice Mayor Chandler <br />City Attorney Schricker advised that he will prepare the necessary findings <br />which will be presented to Council for adoption at a later date. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 88 -27 <br />City Attorney Schricker observed that the appeal of DES and Sequoia Profes- <br />sional Building Association is now moot in view of the granting of the appeal <br />of Bert J. Barrett above and asked that Council acknowledge the appeal. <br />Mayor Claire declared the public hearing open on the appeal in item 2. on the <br />Agenda at 2:05 a.m. and invited anyone who wished to speak to do so. No one <br />wished to speak and the public hearing was declared closed at 2:06 a.m. <br />M /S: Bury /Britschgi to deny the appeal of the two conditions attached by the <br />Planning Commission to the Planned Development Permit for the Sequoia <br />Professional Building Project (Sequoia Medical Office Building) by DES and <br />Sequoia Professional Building Association. <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
