Vice Mayor Chandler took the Chair and Mayor Claire returned immediately after seconding the motion below. M /S: Britschgi /Clai re that because of the overall size of the building and because it is not similar to the rest of the neighborhood to grant the appeal of Bert J. Barrett and reverse the decision of the Planning Commission approving the Planned Development Permit for the Sequoia Medical Office Building at Whipple Avenue and Alameda de las Pulgas. The motion carried on the following roll call vote. Ayes: Councilmen Britschgi, Greenalch, LaBerge and Mayor Claire Noes: Councilmen Bury, Stangel and Vice Mayor Chandler City Attorney Schricker advised that he will prepare the necessary findings which will be presented to Council for adoption at a later date. MINUTE ORDER NO. 88 -27 City Attorney Schricker observed that the appeal of DES and Sequoia Profes- sional Building Association is now moot in view of the granting of the appeal of Bert J. Barrett above and asked that Council acknowledge the appeal. Mayor Claire declared the public hearing open on the appeal in item 2. on the Agenda at 2:05 a.m. and invited anyone who wished to speak to do so. No one wished to speak and the public hearing was declared closed at 2:06 a.m. M /S: Bury /Britschgi to deny the appeal of the two conditions attached by the Planning Commission to the Planned Development Permit for the Sequoia Professional Building Project (Sequoia Medical Office Building) by DES and Sequoia Professional Building Association. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
