In response to questions regarding whether a 1,144 unit apartment complex is <br />likely to be approved for Marine Parkway, City Manager Smith said the <br />developer, Prometheus Development Co., Inc. is an experienced developer who <br />wishes to proceed to obtain and EIR which can be expected to raise debatable <br />points about the complex. <br />M /S: Britschgi / - - - - -- to deny the preparation of an EIR as proposed for <br />Westport Development in the report of the Community Development Director of <br />March 7, 1988 for a 1,144 unit apartment complex on Marine Parkway. <br />The motion failed for lack of a second. <br />In response to questions, City Attorney Schricker said that the developer is <br />entitled to have an EIR prepared, if not by a consultant, as proposed, then <br />by City staff. <br />Title read.
