Prepare Base Maps (fee: $2,500) <br />Working from aerial photography or GIS-based maps provided by you we will prepare base maps <br />at multiple scales: <br />- the downtown in regional context, showing connections from 1-280 and US 101 <br />- the downtown core area, showing street connections, pedestrian ways, public <br />parking areas and key destinations <br />- a plan enlargement of Theater Way from Broadway to Veterans <br />- a plan enlargement ofthe block of Broadway/Jefferson/Main enclosing the public <br />parking lot <br /> <br />The first two maps will be key to developing the wayfinding and sign program. The second two <br />will be used for specific streetscape and other connective elements. <br /> <br />2. Schematic Design <br />a. Wayfinding Diagram and Sign Strategy (fee: $3,500) <br />We will diagram key access routes and way finding decision points. We will identify the location <br />and character of needed directional information. We will describe an overall sign strategy with <br />examples showing how other communities have met similar needs. <br /> <br />b. Alternatives for Theater Way and Broadway/Jefferson/Main Parking lot (fee: $3,000) <br />The Wayfinding Diagram and Sign Strategy will be integrated with more detailed design <br />alternatives for the two identified key focus areas. The design alternatives will identify specific <br />interventions in these areas such as curb cuts/repair, sidewalk enhancements, signs, lighting, <br />street trees, façade improvements, etc. <br /> <br />3. Meeting with Staff(fee: $1,250) <br />We will meet with you to present the Wayfinding Diagram and Sign Strategy and Schematic <br />Design Alternatives for Theater Way and Broadway/Jefferson/Main Parking wt. The purpose of <br />the meeting will be to confirm the overall direction and select a preferred alternative for each of <br />the elements for further development. <br /> <br />4. Design Development. <br />a. Wayfinding and Signs (fee: $10,000 not including sign mock-up) <br />Working with VKK, we will develop schematic designs for signs and wayfinding elements. <br />These designs will specify material, layout. typography, mounting, and location for each ofthe <br />
