Dr. Nancy Jewell Cross, of Clean Air Transport Plan, presented a report on the need and feasibil ity of a light rail system in place of the proposal recommended by the San Mateo Countywide Transportation Advisory Committee. Dr. Cross refuted support by the California Transportation Commission for the SMCTAC proposal, stating she had spoken to them and they support her regional light r ai 1 plan instead. Mr. Tom Jordan, Chairman of the Senior Affairs Commission reported that his group has decided to take no stand at this time, and will wait to see if there is support for seniors special ridership needs before making a deci si on.
