Public Hearing - Petition for Cancellation of agreement <br />relating to land under Land Conservation Agreements, <br />portion of Horgan Ranch - James A. Thompson, Esq. for <br />petitioners (203 -14) <br />Report: City Manager 9/25/87 <br />Affidavits of Publication of Notice of Hearing, of Posting and of Mailing are <br />on file. <br />Mayor Claire declared the public hearing open at 7:40 p.m. <br />Jim Thompson, 600 Allerton, attorney representing the petitioners, referred <br />to the subject petition and responded to questions relating to the provisions <br />of the Williamson Act, indicating location of the property on maps of the <br />area. <br />Mayor Claire invited anyone else present who wished to speak to do so. No <br />one wished to speak. <br />M /S: Greenalch /Stangel to close the public hearing. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote and public hearing closed at 7:52 p.m. <br />Title read. M /S: Stangel /LaBerge <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10642 GRANTING TENTATIVE APPROVAL OF CANCELLATION OF <br />WILLIAMSON ACT CONTRACT, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS; AND MAKING <br />APPROPRIATE FINDINGS THEREFOR <br />adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />a. Natalie Minenko, Standord University sophomore of 1907 Arizona Way, Redwood <br />City, announced she is one of two Girl Scouts selected to represent the Girl <br />Scouts of the USA at the Australia bicentennial this year, reporting she will <br />sail in the Coast Guard Academy's tallship to Australia. Ms. Minenko said <br />that she is from Redwood City, attended high school here and is an assistant <br />leader of a local Girl Scout troop with marine interests. She observed that <br />she will be representing this area and inquired about possible local sources <br />of financial support in the amount of some $2300 to cover costs of the <br />venture. Council members suggested Ms. Minenko might contact the Inter - <br />Service Club Coordinating Council, local newspapers, Redwood City Cares <br />Committee and the Sequoia Yacht Club. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />Reg.Mtg.
