Gateway Sub-Area - Update (Oral Report) <br /> <br />(1401-02 ) <br /> <br />Executive Director Church reported negotiations with Innisfree Company have <br />been proceeding, and a meeting is planned for October 29, 1987. <br /> <br />Mr. Church also reported that with regard to the development at El Camino Real <br />and Broadway, the owner has received an architectural permit and a building <br />permit. The owner participation agreement however was approved for a certain <br />set of plans, but details of those plans have been changed, and the agreement <br />is pending resolution of the proposed changes. Mr. Church noted that staff <br />believes it is important that quality which is equivalent to that which was <br />approved when the plans were previously presented to the Agency be provided. <br /> <br />Planning Director Patterson confirmed Mr. Church's statement and said that <br />construction can commence now in accordance with the building permit. Mr. <br />Patterson said that no final landscaping plan has been submitted, and the <br />approval by the Agency was dependent upon the approved landscaping, noting it <br />may be necessary to eliminate a parking space to retain the appearance as the <br />development was approved. <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />3. Centre Sub-Area - Update (Oral Report) <br /> <br />( 1401-03) <br /> <br />Executive Director Church said that negotiations with Trammel Crow for the <br />Middlefield/Main project is awaiting the prevailing wage policy which will be <br />on the November 23, 1987 Agency agenda. <br /> <br />MEMO 10/27/87 <br /> <br />Mr. Church reported that the Redwood Glass Company relocation is almost <br />complete. He said that the Hodge Podge tenant now has a 72-hour move-out <br />clause, and the same approach will be used with other tenants, thereby making <br />it easy for the Agency to acquire the property, and, at the same time, allow <br />tenants to remain until the property is needed. <br /> <br />Mr. Church said that the Service League is attempting to find comparable space <br />and rent downtown. <br /> <br />Mr. Church reported also that the developer of the Main/Broadway project has <br />not yet paid the appraisal bill but plans for the Nagel Building combining <br />offices, parking and retirement apartments have been submitted which are the <br />same as presented at the time the now expired use permit was obtained. <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />4.
