A number of ideas were dis-
cussed; these will be forwarded to the League's
Pension Reform Task Force for review and analy-
sis.

Comprised of city finance officers, city manag-
ers and other city staff with detailed knowledge of
the pension systems employed by cities, the group
has been asked to analyze the various cost drivers
in the current pension system, so that the League
will be better able to provide recommendations that
respond effectively to real and specific problems.

The task force recommendations will be sent to
the Employee Relations Policy Committee for their
consideration and input before they are sent to the
board of directors for adoption and transmittal to
the governor, Assemblyman Richman, employee
groups and other stakeholders.

FOR LEGISLATORS' PHONE NUMBERS,
ADDRESSES AND E-MAIL PLEASE SEE THE
LEAGUE'S WEBSITE (WWW.CACITIES.ORGI
ADVOCACYCENTER1.

PAGE 4/PRIORITV FOCUS

Visit the League's OfFICial Web Site--www.cacities.org
