<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The scope of this contract is to provide services for inspection, rebuilding, repairing and I or <br />reconditioning pumps, as required, as well as new pumps for sanitary sewer lift stations in the <br />system <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />City will be ordering some materials and or services on an as-needed basis several times <br />a year. The usual quantity will be indicated in parenthesis under each item's quantity. <br /> <br />Complete disassemble and assembly of pumps within 1 Y:z weeks, or a reasonable <br />timeframe agreed to by the City, of pulling pump from service <br /> <br />a. .Following disassembly and inspection provide PWS Supervisor, Sanitary Sewer <br />Maintenance Section, whom will provide authorization to proceed with work with an <br />inspection report. <br /> <br />b. The City retains the right to inspect pumps during disassembly and inspection, and <br />to inspect any and all replaced parts. <br /> <br />Inspections shall be conducted according to Consultant's Service 21-Point Check List, <br />incorporated herein and attached as part of the scope of services, and include the <br />following: <br /> <br />a. Check oil levels <br />b. Inspect for water in oil <br />c. Change oil <br />d. Inspect bearings for noise and <br />vibration <br />e. Inspect for damaged cable <br />f. Inspect impeller <br /> <br />g. Inspect wear rings <br />h. Inspect volute <br />i. Inspect cable entry <br />j. Inspect a-Rings <br />k. Inspect mechanical seals <br />I. Inspect bearings <br />m. Inspect rotorlstator <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />In the event of an emergency request for ITT Flygt submersible pump repair, <br />Redwood City will require a (24) twenty four-hour replacement upon demand for any <br />Flygt submersible pump(s). For clarification, the (24) twenty four-hour notification <br />begins at the first minute of notification to contractor. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Redwood City Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, Ray Bartolo (650-780-7470) <br />is to be notified immediately in the event that any Flygt submersible pump(s) can not <br />be repaired andlor provided within (24) twenty-four hours. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Quantities listed are based upon last year's usage and are approximate. City does <br />not guarantee any minimum or maximum quantities. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />All replacement parts must meet manufacturer's specifications.
