Redwood City another reason to be a destination point on the Peninsula. He stated <br />that sign -up is available on the website www.redwoodcity.org <br />Mike Kastrop, President of Downtown Business Groups, stated that on behalf of the <br />Downtown Business Group and Peninsula Sunrise Rotary Club he would like to <br />thank the Council and City for its generous and wholehearted support of the <br />Hometown Holidays. He explained the various activities and stated that it was very <br />successful offering free access for the entire community and brought thousands of <br />people downtown. He stated that this was a collaborative effort between the <br />Downtown businesses and other business sponsors, the City and the Peninsula <br />Sunrise Rotary Club. There were volunteers from Redwood High and San Carlos <br />High School helping as well. <br />Jeffrey Bullis stated that he recently purchased some property on Clinton Street, has <br />done some major renovation to the property. He stated that his tenants have <br />expressed interest in purchasing the single dwellings but that the City has an <br />ordinance against converting them into condominiums. He stated that he is seeking a <br />variance to allow the tenants to purchase the individual units for personal use. <br />M/S Hartnett/Foust to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances <br />by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The <br />motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />5.1 Section — Motions <br />A. Approve the Joint City Council and Redevelopment Agency Meeting minutes of <br />November 22, 2004 as submitted; (301) MINUTE ORDER 04 -215 <br />B. Agreement for After School Program Services between the City of Redwood City <br />and the Redwood City School District (304) <br />Recommendation: <br />Authorize the City Manager, by motion, to execute the subject agreement. <br />MINUTE ORDER 04 -216 <br />C. By motion, approve and authorize execution of an agreement with David Powers <br />& Associates, environmental consulting services, to prepare an Environmental <br />Impact Report (EIR) for the Sequoia Hospital Medical Campus Expansion and <br />Rebuild Project (a partnership project of Sequoia Hospital, Catholic Healthcare <br />West, and the Sequoia Healthcare District). <br />Recommendation: <br />That the City Council approve and authorize execution of an agreement for <br />environmental consulting services with David Powers & Associates for the <br />Sequoia Hospital EIR.
