Item No. 5 (continued) Director of Public Works Addiego presented the subject report referring to transparencies of pages of the report. In response to question, Mr. Addiego said that there was concurrence of the Facilities Fee Committee with regard to the recommendation. M /S: Chandler /Stangel to approve the GID 1 -64 1986 Capital Improvement Budget and the 5 -Year Capital Improvement Program 1986 -90. Carried unanimously by voice vote. MINUTE ORDER NO. 86 -05 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- 6. Status report re nuisance abatement of building at 109 Wilson Street (per Council request 12/16/85) (702 -11) Community Development Director Schroeter reported that the prospective owner of the building who wishes to move it to another location and rehabilitate it has requested bids from four contractors and one has responded to date. Also, the prospective owner is still negotiating for property in the Stambaugh Street area where he hopes to move it. In response to question, Mr. Schroeter said that a reasonable wait has been in order in this case, but there should not be excessive delay before proceeding to abate a public nuisance. CONSENSUS: Mayor Britschgi determined it to be the consensus of Council to wait another week in the matter of the proposed public nuisance abatement of the building at 109 Wilson Street and that a status report be made at the next Council meeting on January 13, 1986. Report re Liability Insurance (702 -04) Assistant Finance Director Ponty reported that Planet, the primary insurance carrier for joint powers insurance, has rejected the City for liability insurance coverage because some underwriters refused us. Mr. Ponty noted that coverage was contingent upon reinsurance by five underwriters. City Manager Smith stated that the City is not covered for liability insurance and that he and Mr. Ponty will pursue other options immediately and report back to Council. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- CONSENT CALENDAR There being no objection, Mayor Britschgi ordered that item 9. be considered separately following consideration of the rest of the Consent Calendar.
