GENERAL
1. Councilman Britschgi congratulated Mayor Claire on his election as Chairman
of the Council of Mayors of San Mateo County for 1986 -87.
2. Councilman Britschgi reported that this evening he observed that a door to
the boarded up building on Brewster Street has been smashed in, making it
possible to enter the premises where hazards may be encountered. He asked
that the property owner be notified immediately.
Community Development Director Schroeter reported that the building has a new
owner who may have no objection to having it razed.
City Attorney Schricker noted that the recurring nature of the nuisance might
be the basis for a proposed nuisance abatement at this time.
(see City Council Minutes 8/26/85 and 10/14/85)
3. Councilman Greenalch requested that a resolution be presented to the Reverend
Paul Larsen who has just been honored by his denomination by being elected
President.
There being no objection, Mayor Claire ordered that an appropriate resolution
honoring the Reverend Larsen be prepared for presentation to him.
MEMO 6/19/86
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - --
EXECUTIVE SESSION
M /S: Britschgi /Stangel to adjourn to executive session to consider
litigation per Government Code Section 54956.9(a)(1) and to reconvene solely
to adjourn.
Carried unanimously by voice vote and Council adjourned to executive session
at 9: 28 p.m.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - --
ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried Council adjourned at 9:50 p.m. to 9:00
a.m., Saturday, June 21, 1986, Municipal Service Center for the purpose of a study
session of the Recommended Annual Budget 1986 -87 and to 4:00 p.m., Monday, June
23, 1986, in the Veterans Memorial Senior Center for the purpose of conducting
group interviews of applicants for appointment to Library Board, Planning
Commission and Housing and Human Concerns Committee.
JACQUELINE C.
