In connection with the project itself, <br /> the review processes which led to project approvals and issues raised in Mr. Koop's <br /> appeal, we ask that you note: <br /> <br /> Reaardina Protect Ar~Drovqt~; <br /> <br /> Project approval by the Redwood City Zoning Headng Officer was given after a <br /> public headng which followed Planning Commission public hearings of this proposal <br /> which resulted in the Commission's unanimous approval of motions to recommend <br /> that the Zoning Hearing Officer approve the project. All these hearings were properly <br /> noticed and Planning Commission hearings were well attended by potentially <br /> impacted neighbor~. The Planning Commission's conclusions regarding this project <br /> were entirely affirmative. Commission commentary regarding the building design was <br /> uniformly positive. The Zoning Hearing Officer's hearing was conducted in a standard <br /> and appropriate manner. Mr, Koop's description of the review process at that <br /> headng as "simply a rubber stamp" was not only discourteous, it was incorrect, <br /> <br /> Reaardinq "reauirement¢' by other municipalities and the orovision of improvements to <br /> benefit propedies Outside Redwood City boundaries: - <br /> <br />Mr. Koop's appeal dwells on what he mistakenly believes ore "requirements" made by <br />the neighboring municipality (in which he residesJ. In fact, Mr. Farahyar's lands (and his <br />present residence) are in Redwood Cif¢ not Woodside, Although Herring & Wodey. Water and sewer services for this residence will <br />be provided from mains within Redwood City. This happy circumstance (which c:losect <br />the door on demands ["requirements"] from the neighboring municipality) does not <br />mean that Mr. Farahyar has turned his back on Woodside (or ,San Mateo County) <br />residents along $oufhview Way.
