RD86-01 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR PREPARATION OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (CENTRE SUB-AREA) <br /> <br />adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Gateway Redevelopment Sub-Area - status report re <br />Innisfree proposal (1401) <br /> <br />Report: Community Development Director 7/18/86 <br /> <br />Executive Director Smith presented the subject report. <br /> <br />Dav id Irmer, President of Inn isfree ColllJanies, sa id that he concurs with the <br />staff report that negotiations with his colllJany be terminated based on the <br />results of feasibility analyses described in the subject report. Mr. Irmer <br />said it might be possible to consider development of the James Streetl <br />Jefferson Avenue area with a focus on only corrmerc ia 1 development. <br /> <br />In response to question, Mr. Smith said that property owners in the <br />redevelopment area may participate in development, but it is not a practical <br />approach, and that it might be poss ib le to develop a concept plan for a <br />project of reduced scope that would include a railway station. <br /> <br />M/S: Chandler/Britschgi to terminate negotiations with Innisfree Corrpanies <br />for development of the Gateway Redeveloppment Sub-Area and to direct staff <br />to prepare a concept plan generally along the lines of "opportunity areas" <br />with staff doing so independently at this time. <br /> <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />MINUTE ORDER NO.
