<br />Item No.2 (continued) <br /> <br />Bryan Grunwald described the proposal and summarized the recommendations in <br />conjunction with a slide presentation. Mr. Grunwald replied to questions by <br />the Board concerning maintenance of the proposed water feature; costs of <br />converting the City Hall parking lot to a water feature; concerns regarding <br />adequacy of displacement parking proposals, and suggested that surveys taken <br />of parking areas indicate underuse of existing parking facilities. He <br />described the goals and mixed use of the property adjoining the civic center, <br />and concluded with a summary of steps to be taken by the Board to get <br />revitalization under way. <br /> <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Status Report, Gateway Redevelopment Area <br /> <br />Housing Officer Michael Church referred to overhead projections and commented <br />on the relationship between Gateway and Centre, and potential conflicts <br />between the two areas, depending upon which develops first; and also reviewed <br />the Innisfree project area, as well as the alternative locations for the <br />proposed transportation station. <br /> <br />Discussion followed regarding whether it would be desirable to hold a joint <br />meeting with the Planning Commission regarding Gateway Redevelopment Area, or <br />whether the Board should meet separately. <br /> <br />M/S: Mosher/Stangel that the Redevelopment Agency meet separately on <br />Tuesday, September 10, 1985, on the subject of the Gateway Redevelopment Area <br />and transportation station. <br /> <br />Carried by the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br /> <br />Bury, Mosher, Rhodes, Stangel <br />Claire and Chairman Britschgi <br /> <br />It was suggested that a representative of SamTrans be invited to attend the <br />meet ing <br /> <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 85-122 RD <br /> <br />(NOTE: the meeting will be held in the City Hall Conference Room at 7:30 <br />p.m. on September 10, 1985.) <br /> <br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />M/S: <br /> <br />Stangel/Claire to adjourn the Redevelopment Agency meeting. <br /> <br />Carried unanimously and meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m. <br /> <br />FRANCES I.
