Item No. 1 (continued) <br />All those present in the interest of the matter who expected to give <br />testimony were sworn by the Deputy City Clerk. <br />Chief Building Official Malkemus and Building Inspector Garcia summarized the <br />report regarding condition of the premises, the fact that they are occupied, <br />and that no pictures were taken because the owner denied permission to do <br />SO. <br />Mayor Britschgi declared the public hearing open at 9:00 p.m. <br />Affidavits of Posting and of Mailing of Notice are on file. <br />Don Bryant, attorney representing Mr. and Mrs. Escobedo, owners of the <br />property, requested a continuance of the public hearing to allow him time to <br />read the reports, and advised that the owners intend to rehabilitate the <br />house and bring it up to standards. <br />Carl A. Public Hearing - Nuisance abatement , dilapidated <br />building - 851 Brewster (market building) (702 -11) <br />Report of City Manager and Chief Building Official 7/29/85 <br />Those present in the interest of the matter who expected to give testimony <br />were sworn by the Deputy City Clerk. <br />Building Official Malkemus summarized the report and advised in reply to <br />question by City Attorney Schricker that security of the premises against <br />trespassers is inadequate in that the gate is broken. <br />Mayor Britschgi declared the public hearing open at 9:14 p.m. <br />Affidavits of Posting and of Mailing of Notice are on file. <br />William Conklin, 390 South San Antonio, Los Altos, President of Alisal Land <br />Company, stated that the property is fenced, that weeds have been removed at <br />intervals, that they are trying to develop the property, and that he does not <br />oppose removal of the buildings.
