Item No. 3 (continued) <br />Mr. Anderson urged Council to deny the appeals, because residents fear the <br />changes requested by the appellant will create the problems which existed <br />previously. Mr. Anderson read a letter from Woodside Women's Hospital on <br />Gordon Street in opposition to the appeal. <br />The following persons also spoke in opposition to the granting of the subject <br />appeal: <br />Larry Damante, 1575 Gordon <br />Manuela Henry, 1584 Regent <br />Ralph Elliott, 1567 Regent <br />Mayor Britschgi invited anyone else present who wished to speak to do so. No <br />one wished to speak. <br />M /S: Stangel /Mosher to close the public hearing. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote and public hearing closed at 9:35 p.m. <br />City Attorney Schricker said the two parts of the appeal can be considered <br />separately. <br />M /S: Claire /Bury to uphold the decision of the Zoning Administrator and deny <br />the appeal of Bruce Roberts on behalf of Aldo Fontana, 768 Woodside Road, <br />with regard to denial of a Use Permit for operation of a nightclub. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 85 -153 <br />M /S: Claire /Stangel to modify the permitted hours of operation for cabaret <br />entertainment granted by the Zoning Administrator for Shooter McGee's, 768 <br />Woodside Road, and to permit entertainment until 12 Midnight on Friday and <br />Saturday nights and to uphold the Zoning Administrator with an 11:00 p.m. <br />cutoff time for entertainment on other nights of the week. <br />Carried on the following roll call vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmen Bury, Claire, Mosher, Stangel and Mayor Britschgi <br />Noes: Councilman Rhodes <br />In response to question, Deputy Police Chief Hamilton said that the premises <br />can be checked at the entertainment cutoff hour and, if necessary, an <br />incident report will be filed. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 85 -154 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />(Councilman Chandler returned at 9:40 p.m.) <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />None <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />Reg.Mtg. <br />10/14/85 MINUTE BOOK NO. 46 <br />Page 4 Page No. 69 <br />
