Item No. 10 (continued) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10070 PROVIDING FOR ISSUANCE OF BONDS SEAPORT BOULEVARD <br />ASSESSMENT DISTRICT - SERIES B <br />adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />11. Seaport Centre Assessment District (407 -03) <br />Philip Assaf, Wilson, Morton, Assaf & McElligott, commented on each of the <br />five resolutions under consideration as follows: <br />a. A RESOLUTION NO. 10071 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 9807 ENTITLED, "RESOLUTION <br />DETERMINING TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS PURSUANT TO SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AND <br />ASSESSMENT BOND ACTS FOR THE ACQUISITION AND /OR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />IMPROVEMENTS WITHOUT PROCEEDINGS UNDER DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND <br />HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA" <br />Mr. Assaf stated that since the original resolution was adopted in February, <br />and proceedings initiated, some work was omitted and a small amount of other <br />work added, and this amendment simply changes the description of the work. <br />b. RESOLUTION NO. 10072 OF INTENTION TO ACQUIRE IMPROVEMENTS - SEAPORT <br />CENTRE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT <br />Mr. Assaf advised that the developer has requested a change in the resolution <br />presently before Council, on Page 5 wherein the maturity of the bonds is <br />given as 20 years; that the underwriters have informed the developer that <br />extending the maturity date by three years would not affect the interest <br />rate, and so they are requesting that the "19 years" be changed to 11 23 years" <br />in the resolution. <br />c. RESOLUTION NO. 10073 OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />d. RESOLUTION NO. 10074 APPOINTING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING PROTESTS IN <br />RELATION TO PROPOSED ACQUISITIONS AND DIRECTING NOTICE <br />Because the Council has indicated its wish to cancel the regular meeting of <br />December 23, and because of notice requirements, Mr. Assaf suggested that a <br />brief adjourned regular meeting could be held for the purpose of holding the <br />public hearing on December 19, 1985. <br />CONSENSUS: Vice Mayor Mosher determined it to be the consensus of Council to <br />hold the hearing on December 19, 1985, at 4:00 p.m. in City Hall. <br />MEMO 11/22/85 <br />e.
