Item No. 1 (continued)
Director of Public Works Addiego explained the purpose of acquiring the
easements, as well as the differences between the first Engineer's Report and
the revision. Mr. Assaf said that as he understood it, there was no
requirement that the levee be landscaped; that the property owners are not
bound to do the levee landscaping, but that the work can be taken care of by
the Maintenance District, and suggested that the subdivision bond submitted
might be allowed by the City to be reduced to the extent that certain public
improvements have already been completed.
Mr. Assaf, Mr. Addiego and Mr. Bohley commented on the box culvert which the
City wishes to retain; that it contains Leslie Salt Company lines; that the
box culvert will be maintained through the Maintenance District as part of
the project; and that Leslie Salt has access to the box culvert.
Mayor Britschgi invited anyone else who wished to speak to do so. No one
wished to speak. Mayor Britschgi noted that no written or oral protests or
endorsements were made.
M /S: Stangel /Claire to close the public hearing.
Carried unanimously by voice vote and public hearing closed at 4:30 p.m.
Title read.
