Item No. 4 (continued) <br />Mr. Ross replied to questions by Council and indicated that it is difficult <br />for non - profit organizations to find a building to conduct their games. At <br />the request of Mayor Britschgi, he identified several agencies who were <br />represented in the audience in support of his proposal. <br />M /S: Claire /Rhodes to instruct the Planning Commission to initiate a study <br />to review the current "CB" District designation in the Zoning Ordinance, and <br />ascertain whether it is in conformance with the Downtown Plan, and if it is <br />not in conformance, to initiate proceedings to change the "CB" category to <br />"RB" in the Zoning Ordinance. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 85 -48 <br />M /S: Chandler /Mosher to establish a committee to review the entire bingo <br />ordinance, to be comporised of two members of the Council, representatives of <br />the community and appropriate staff. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 85 -49 <br />Mayor Britschgi stated that Councilmen Chandler and Stangel are appointed as <br />the Council representatives to the Bingo Ordinance Study Committee. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 85 -50 <br />Mario Biagi, 900 Veterans Boulevard, stated that the Downtown Association is <br />concerned with regard to the bingo ordinance and also the use permit process, <br />and whether a use permit can be applied for by a landlord for a multitude of <br />users. City Attorney Schricker replied that it can, and that as far as the <br />land use is concerned, either the owner, or agent of the owner is entitled to <br />apply. <br />Mr. Biagi also expressed concern regarding "bunching' of bingo permits at one <br />location, and suggested that applicants for use permits to operate bingo <br />games such as just discussed should be subject to full disclosure. <br />City Attorney Schricker recommended that speakers cards submitted at this <br />meeting relating to the item on bingo games be used by the Planning Director <br />to notify those interested when the Use Permit application is scheduled to be <br />heard. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Titles of the Ordinances read <br />M /S: Stangel /Mosher to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinance <br />titles, adopt the resolutions and ordinances, and approve all other items. <br />5.
