2. Canvass of Vote of April 10, 1984 General Municipal <br />Election (703 -02) <br />City Clerk Hildebrand stated for the record that the certificate of the <br />County Clerk stating final vote is on file. <br />Title read. M /S: Britschgi /Mosher <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9554 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DECLARING <br />CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 10, <br />1984 <br />adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br />Councilman Biagi thanked Council members for the privilege of serving as <br />Mayor from April 1980 to 1982, stating that his years of serving the City and <br />working with fellow councilmen and staff had been a very enjoyable and <br />worthwhile experience. Councilman Biagi wished the incoming Council well in <br />the future. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the City Council adjourned sine die at <br />9:10 P.M. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />3. Installation of newly elected City Council members - <br />Administration of Oath of Office and Presentation of <br />Certificates of Election (301 -09) <br />City Clerk Hildebrand administered the Oath of Office to reelected <br />Councilmen Britschgi, Bury and Stangel and to newly - elected Councilman <br />Chandler, and presented Certificates of Election to them. Nomination and Election of Mayor - Two Year Term <br />(301 -01) <br />M /S: Britschgi /Claire that the vote on nominations for the Office of Mayor <br />be made orally rather than by written ballot. <br />Carried unanimously by roll call vote. <br />City Clerk Hildebrand called for nominations for the Office of Mayor. <br />Councilman Claire nominated Councilman Britschgi. <br />Councilman Chandler nominated Councilman Bury. <br />Councilman Stangel nominated Councilman Rhodes. <br />Councilman Rhodes nominated Councilman Stangel. <br />Reg.
