Zion Baptist Church <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES - June 4, 1984 <br />M /S: Bury / Stangel to approve the subject Minutes as submitted. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY AND PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Non - Agenda Item. Appointments to Boards and Commissions <br />Mayor Britschgi announced that Council has decided to vote on appointments to <br />Boards and Commissions at this time, noting that during the afternoon, <br />applicants had been interviewed in public group interview sessions. <br />Nita Spanqler, 970 Edgewood Road, read from the June 11, 1984, edition of the <br />Peninsula Times Tribune regarding the Council's interview sessions and asked <br />that Council members identify themselves when voting. <br />M /S: Claire /Rhodes to conduct the vote on appointments to Boards and <br />Commissions by voice vote. <br />Carried by majority voice vote. <br />CONCENSUS: Mayor Britschgi determined it to be the consensus of Council to <br />agree with Councilman Stangel's suggestion that all candidates remain <br />eligible for appointment throughout the voting process whether or not they <br />receive any votes, instead of being disqualified on the first ballot on which <br />they do not receive any votes, as has been previous Council practice. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 84 -98 <br />Minutes <br />6/11/84 <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 45 <br />Page No. 42 <br />
