Item No. 15 (continued) City Manager Smith said that Dividend is requesting another public hearing on their request which was previously denied. Mayor Britschgi reported meeting with Mayor Stiff, former mayor of Woodside, and others regarding the subject. Richard Oliver, author of the subject letter, reported that Woodside has refused to agree that the 1.3 acre parcel involved be annexed to Redwood City, referring to his letter giving the Town's stated reasons for the refusal. He asked Council to consider again his request for the sewer hookup. Discussion followed concerning access to the site; alternatives available to Dividend; and whether the matter might not be referred to LAFCO for resolution in view of the disagreement between the cities. Director of Public Works Addiego said that it is practical to connect the property to Redwood City lines, although it is in Woodside, and Woodside benefits from property taxes. He noted that connection fees and a premium required for land outside the City will be paid. M /S: Stangel /Chandler to grant the request of Dividend Development Corporation for permission to transfer the sewer connection from Fair Oaks District to the Redwood City District for the Woodhill Lot and to direct staff to do whatever is necessary to implement it.
