Item No. 4 (continued) <br />Report of City Manager 12/13/84 <br />City Manager Smith presented the subject report and replied to questions with <br />regard to details of it, stating that the Redwood Shores Homeowners <br />Association (RSHA) was not involved in the discussion, noting that the facts <br />in the situation have not changed. RESOLUTION NO. 9755 TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED FIVE THOUSAND <br />DOLLARS ($105,000) FROM RESOURCES HELD IN RESERVE, BUDGETED RESERVES TO <br />FIRE SAFETY /FIRE SUPPRESSION FOR CONTRACT PAYMENT TO SOUTH COUNTY FIRE <br />DISTRICT <br />adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />5. Peninsula Youth Center (PYC) request for reimbursable <br />advance pending receipt of State funds for program <br />Report of City Manager 12/11/84 <br />City Manager Smith presented the subject report and replied to questions <br />concerning reimbursement of the City, the extent to which City staff or the <br />Fair Oaks Advisory Board monitors the program and the amount the City has <br />contributed to the PYC in the past in donations and loans. <br />Reza Azarmi, new Program Director of the PYC, described the sources of <br />funding of the PYC, the reasons for the present need for funds, the <br />expectation of repaying the City and his intent to establish a sound program. <br />Mr. Azarmi replied to questions concerning PYC income, costs of operating the <br />day care center and the requirements re income levels of parents. Mr. Azarmi <br />also said that a vacancy exists on the PYC Board and invited applicants, <br />particularly from among Council members. <br />Councilman Claire volunteered to serve on the Board of Directors of the PYC <br />and was accepted by Mr. Azarmi on behalf of the Board. <br />(MEMO 12/21/84) <br />Title read.
