Item No. 9 (continued)
RESOLUTION N. 9758 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE
STENCIL TRUCK BODY WITH PAINTING EQUIPMENT AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL
FOR BIDS THEREFOR
adopted unanimously by roll call vote.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10. Comprehensive Annual Financial Report June 30, 1984
Finance Director Tasseff reviewed the contents of the subject report, using
overhead projections of pages in the report to illustrate his remarks. Mr.
Tasseff noted that cities are not required to show depreciation, and audit
reports are usually given as qualified opinions for that reason. However,
the subject report does provide that information and the city was, therefore,
able to have an unqualified opinion from the auditors.
In response to questions about lateness of the report, Mr. Tasseff said that
the auditors do not usually commence work until after the September 30 date
by which cities are required to report to the State, noting that if the
City's information is complete before that date, the auditors could commence
earlier and provide the audit in a more timely manner than in the past.
M /S: Chandler /Bury to accept the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report June
30, 1984.
Carried unanimously by voice vote.
