APPROVAL OF MINUTES - City Council Neighborhood Meeting, February 14, 1983 Budget Study Session, February 26, 1983 Executive Session, February 28, 1983 City Council, February 28, 1983 M /S: Britschgi /Rhodes to approve the subject Minutes as submitted. Carried unanimously by voice vote, Councilman Mosher abstaining from the Minutes of February 14 and Councilman Bury from the City Council Minutes of February 28, 1983. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- ORAL COMMUNICATIONS There being no objection, Mayor Stangel stated that he would grant the request for an oral communication out of order at this time. Bud Dougherty, representative of Local 715, SEW (Service Employees International Union) 541 Middlefield Road, introduced himself and stated he and a represented employee would comment on labor negotiations. Mary Dolezal, Chairperson of Chapter, stated that the union agreed to extend the contract date in expectation of an equitable settlement. She stated that the offer of a 3% increase is not equitable and urged Council to improve the offer to SEIU represented employees. Mr. Dougherty (see above) suggested that sources of funding an increase for SEIU represented employees might be the one -time PERS (Public Employees Retirement System) rebate, deletion of the reconstruction of Roosevelt Avenue project, deletion of the new warehouse project, or from the reserve fund. Presentation of Resolution No. 1 -83 of the Association of Bay Area Governments commending the City of Redwood City for its efforts in providing affordable housing in recognition of Heron Court Cooperative Project (203 -04) Planning Director Schroeter presented the framed copy of RESOLUTION NO. 1 -83 to City Manager Smith on behalf of ABAG.
