WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS 14. Letter from County of San Mateo re participation in cost of feasibility study for a convention center in the County (305 -04) M /S: Britschgi /Bury to refer the subject letter to staff to obtain more information concerning cost, and that, if action is to be taken, the matter be referred to the Redevelopment Agency. Carried unanimously by voice vote. MINUTE ORDER NO. 83 -60 -------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- ORAL COMMUNICATIONS None ---------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- GENERAL 1. Councilman Mosher inquired concerning the desire of Little League teams to know the status regarding use of the 49er field. Director of Parks and Recreation Griffiths reported that the 49ers have requested exclusive use of the field which would interrupt Little League use for two months, stating that the Little League may use the field for the kickoff games only. Mr. Griffiths observed that possible use of school fields is being investigated and observed that the Park and Recreation Commission will be recommending to Council that the request of the 49ers be granted. City Manager Smith pointed out that the City Council will decide whether or not exclusive use of the field is to be granted when the matter is on the Council Agenda. In response to request that the North Redwood City, the Highlanders and the Foothill Little League teams be notified regarding use of the field, Mr. Griffiths said that he is doing so. ----------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- APPOINTMENTS - CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION - PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION Mayor Stangel stated that group interview sessions had the Council meeting for applicants for appointment to commissions and asked Council members to vote at this Reg.Mtg. 4/18/83 Page 7 MINUTE BOOK NO. 44 Page No. 112 been held preceding the subject time.
