03/14/2005 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14632 <br />RESOLUTION RESTATING POLICY REGARDING DEVELOPMENT OF <br />CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY ON LAUREL WAY IN THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS, in 1988 this Council established a policy regarding development of <br />parcels of real property fronting on that portion of Laurel Way in the City of Redwood <br />City remaining in private ownership; and <br />WHEREAS, said policy provides that, prior to the development of any such <br />parcels, an area -wide environmental impact report shall be prepared for the <br />development of all such unimproved parcels, in order to address the cumulative <br />significant effects upon the environment of development of any such parcel; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to restate and make more specific said policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Findings This Council hereby finds and declares as follows: <br />a. Laurel Way, as platted for subdivision prior to annexation of the properties <br />fronting thereon to the City of Redwood City, has a theoretical plotted <br />width of 50 feet. Laurel Way extends approximately 1200 feet from its <br />intersection with Highland Avenue westerly and then northerly, <br />terminating in a cul -de -sac.
