Kiwanis Club <br /> 675 Mariners Island Drive #105 <br /> San Mateo, CA 94404 <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. Tong: <br /> <br /> The City Council on June 10, 2002, has authorized me to issue this letter permitting <br /> the Woodside Terrace A.M. Kiwanis Club, through Butler Amusements, Inc., to <br /> conduct a carnival in downtown Redwood City. These events are subject to and in <br /> accordance with the terms and conditions herein. <br /> <br /> Permission is granted to the Woodside Terrace A.M. Kiwanis Club, through Butler <br /> Amusements, Inc. ("Permittee"), by the City of Redwood City ("City"). The permit is <br /> subject to the following terms and conditions: <br /> <br />1. Carnival: The carnival shall be sponsored and conducted by the Permittee. <br /> The sale of alcoholic beverages shall be prohibited. <br /> <br />2. Revocation: This permit may be revoked at any time without cause by City. <br /> <br />3. Non-Transferability: This permit is non-transferable. <br /> <br />4. Location: The carnival shall be conducted at the City-owned municipal <br /> parking lot on Middlefleld Road at Winslow Street. City shall order the <br /> necessary, temporary closure of the lot. <br /> <br />5. Dates and Times: Carnival set-up will begin at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, July <br /> 3, 2002, and the site will be cleared by 5:00 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2002. The <br /> carnival shall be held from July 4, 2002, through July 7, 2002. The daily <br /> hours of operation shall be 10:00 a.m. to "shutdown" at 11:00 p.m. The <br /> exception shall be on July 4, 2002, when the carnival shall not begin <br /> operations until 1:00 p.m. or the end of the 4th of July Parade, <br /> whichever is later. This means that neither the rides, nor games at the <br /> carnival shall operate until after the parade has ended.
