03/28/2005 <br />WHEREAS, passage of this measure will have a widespread and significant <br />positive impact in maintaining and improving the quality of education in the Redwood <br />City School District, which in turn will provide community -wide benefits to Redwood City <br />including proper preparation for higher education, reduced costs for remedial and <br />special education, less youth entering the criminal justice system, better preparation to <br />enter the work force, and a reduced need for future welfare benefits. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City that we hereby express strong support for Measure V, the Redwood <br />City School District Funding for Classroom Education Excellence Act of 2005, on the <br />May 3 Special Mail Ballot Election. <br />Atty /Reso /Reso.1523 14634 <br />031405 2 Muff # 301 <br />
