Utility Users Tax (405 -08) <br />Continue to carry on the Agenda <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />In response to question, Director of Public Works Addiego described the <br />background relating to Item No. 11 and the City's negotiations with Southern <br />Pacific Company (SP). Mr. Addiego said that the City had agreed to pay 50% of <br />final costs associated with the Jefferson Avenue Signal Crossing Improvements <br />based on the SP engineer's estimate of a total of $37,000 for the entire <br />project, but final costs were 285% over his estimate (or $106,155.24). The <br />negotiated settlement is for payment of $27,396 as he has recommended.
