Discussion followed concerning details of the proposal; the status of the
application for federal funds for construction of the Maple Street ramps; the
residential density proposed; the General Plan Designations for the area; and
the fact that the Port Board has no jurisdiction over the site; and the next
steps required in order to proceed with redevelopment.

Retired Judge Mel Cohn representing Pacific Ready-Mix, a property owner in the
Marina Development area, stated that his client has protested inclusion of its
land in the Marina Development and suggested litigation may occur, if the
request is not granted. Judge Cohn observed that it should be in the Cityls
interest to have the cement company moved from El Camino Real eventually, and
the company would plan to use its baylands property.

City Attorney Schricker stated for the record that the presentation has been
only an exposition of a preliminary concept and that a tightly negotiated
disposition and development agreement will be necessary before proceeding,
noting that the Agency will attempt to gain cooperation of landowners before
using eminent domain authority.

Chairman Stangel thanked the representatives of Redwood City Marina
Development Company for the presentation.

ADJOURNMENT

M/S: Britschgi/Biagi to adjourn.
Carried unanimously and Redevelopment Agency adjourned at 7:35 p.m.

JACQUELINE C.
