Chandler <br />Marguerite leipzlg <br />Bill /!hade, <br /> <br />BOARD OF SUPERVISORS CHAMBERS <br />401 MARSHALL STREET <br /> <br />Rep;ular Meetinp; <br /> <br />January 18, 1982 <br /> <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />The meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City as the <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City met on this date at 8:07 p.m. with <br />Chairman Biagi presiding. <br /> <br />Directors present: <br /> <br />Britschgi, Bury, Chandler, Leipzig, Rhodes and <br />Chairman Biagi <br /> <br />Directors absent: <br /> <br />Stangel <br /> <br />Officials and staff present: Smith, Schricker, Ference, Hildebrand and <br />Addiego, Schroeter, Griffiths, Bold, O'Brien <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Mayor Biagi observed that the Agency reviewed the Preliminary Plan on <br />January 11, 1982 and delayed action in accepting and approving it pending <br />receipt of the necessary legal description and map. Mayor Biagi reported <br />that the legal description is now in order. <br /> <br />Title read. <br /> <br />MIS: <br /> <br />Leipzig/Chandler <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. RD 82-01 ACCEPTING AND APPROVING <br />PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT OF SELECTED PROJECT <br />AREA; DIRECTING TRANSMITTAL OF CERTAIN INFORMATION <br />RELATING THERETO TO THE SAN MATEO COUNTY AUDITOR AND TAX <br />ASSESSOR AND STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION; AND DIRECTING <br />PLANNING DIRECTOR TO PREPARE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN BASED <br />THEREON <br /> <br />Carried unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> <br />GENERAL <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Zuma Francis, 1138 Madison Street, expressed concern about the plans <br />of Home Savings and Loan to construct an office on Broadway, <br />observing that destruction of the business district there eliminates <br />a shopping area available to those who rely on public <br />transportation. <br /> <br />Mrs. Francis called attention to the poor condition of the sidewalk <br />at Broadway and Winslow. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Smith reported that notice has been given to <br />the property owner at Broadway and Winslow advising that the <br />necessary repair work will be done by the City and a lien placed on <br />the building to cover cost. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Redevelopment Agency <br />adjourned at 8:15 p.m. <br /> <br />JACQUELINE C.
