Report re Fifth Avenue Pump Station <br /> <br />~~ <br />g. <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />./ <br /> <br />-~-_.,,< <br /> <br />Report of City Manager 1/28/82 <br />Report of Director of Public Works 1/27/82 <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Addiego referred to <br />a map projected on the screen illustrating <br />the storm drainage tributaries for the Fifth <br />Avenue and Second Avenue areas and to his <br />detailed report of January 27, 1982. <br /> <br />Mr. Addiego reported that there were also <br />flooding problems in the Nimitz Ditch area <br />and that the County is conducting a meeting <br />with residents concerning improvements and <br />the possibility of an assessment district. <br /> <br />Discussion followed and Mr. Addiego commented <br />and replied to questions concerning the need <br />for cooperation between jurisdictions to <br />solve flooding problems; the alternatives <br />which might be available, if the County <br />cannot or will not act; the high cost of <br />storm drain improvements; and the present <br />informal arrangement with the City of San <br />Carlos for maintenance of Cordilleras Creek. <br /> <br />In response to question, retired Director of <br />Buildings and Equipment Balsamo reported on <br />the storm drain projects included in General <br />Improvement Districts 1-65, 2-65 and 3-65, <br />noting that reference to Second Avenue was <br />included in the Adamson report at the time, <br />but it is in the County area and was not <br />included in the bond issue. <br /> <br />Reg.Mtg. <br />2/1/82 <br />Page 2 <br />
