Professional service agreement - Preparation of Environmental Impact Report, Marine World Office Complex RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR PERSONAL SERVICES FOR THE PREPARATION OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (MARINE WORLD OFFICE COMPLEX) ACTION TAKEN (continued) REPORTS OF CITY MANAGER (continued) Report of City Manager 1/28/82 In response to question, Director of Planning Schroeter advised that the subject proposed agreement provides for a master copy of the report to be furnished to the City, and the duplication work will be done by the City at a savings of some $1,000 to the EIR client. The City will be paid for its copy work from the amount deposited by the client for administrative costs. Mr. Schroeter observed that the EIR will be expensive, because the client wants to use the format required by the Army Corps of Engineers. Title read. Extension of GID No. 1-64 Advisory Committee Report of City Manager 1/28/82 M/S: Rhodes/Stangel to extend the charge to the GID No. 1-64 Advisory Committee one year to December 31, 1982. J ./ -~-_.,,< Report of City Manager 1/28/82 Report of Director of Public Works 1/27/82 Director of Public Works Addiego referred to a map projected on the screen illustrating the storm drainage tributaries for the Fifth Avenue and Second Avenue areas and to his detailed report of January 27, 1982. Mr. Addiego reported that there were also flooding problems in the Nimitz Ditch area and that the County is conducting a meeting with residents concerning improvements and the possibility of an assessment district. Discussion followed and Mr. Addiego commented and replied to questions concerning the need for cooperation between jurisdictions to solve flooding problems; the alternatives which might be available, if the County cannot or will not act; the high cost of storm drain improvements; and the present informal arrangement with the City of San Carlos for maintenance of Cordilleras Creek. In response to question, retired Director of Buildings and Equipment Balsamo reported on the storm drain projects included in General Improvement Districts 1-65, 2-65 and 3-65, noting that reference to Second Avenue was included in the Adamson report at the time, but it is in the County area and was not included in the bond issue.
