Hillary Trinkkeller, 3008 Hoover Street, representing a group of residents of the Friendly Acres neighborhood, commented concerning the recent flooding from storm water and said they are anxious to have the pumps repaired and operating in her area. 'It was explained that only the Broadway and Woodside Road pumps were not operating; that the others could not handle the capacity and that a City-County project would be required to eliminate or reduce flooding in her area. Mrs. Trinkkeller also requested that the Police Department attempt to stop persons from driving in the area and adding to the problems of residents, and stated she would like to help in an effort to solve the flooding problems in her neighborhood. Director of Public Works Addiego commented on the neighborhood meeting he attended and reported on the storm drain improvement project of 1965, reporting a balance remaining in the fund. Patricia Armstron~, Mariposa Apartments, 1107 Second Street, described the problems tenants of her building experienced with flooding of the underground garage and damage to automobiles. Ms. Armstrong urged Council to do whatever is necessary to eliminate flooding in the area. It was pointed out that the flooding is a problem in both the City and County areas and requires cooperation of both agencies and that the City is willing to do so. Residents of the area were urged to bring the matter to the attention of the Board of Supervisors and urge them to cooperate with the City in order to solve the problem.
