Hillary Trinkkeller, 3008 Hoover Street, representing a group of <br />residents of the Friendly Acres neighborhood, commented concerning the <br />recent flooding from storm water and said they are anxious to have the <br />pumps repaired and operating in her area. 'It was explained that only <br />the Broadway and Woodside Road pumps were not operating; that the <br />others could not handle the capacity and that a City-County project <br />would be required to eliminate or reduce flooding in her area. <br /> <br />Mrs. Trinkkeller also requested that the Police Department attempt to <br />stop persons from driving in the area and adding to the problems of <br />residents, and stated she would like to help in an effort to solve the <br />flooding problems in her neighborhood. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Addiego commented on the neighborhood meeting <br />he attended and reported on the storm drain improvement project of <br />1965, reporting a balance remaining in the fund. <br /> <br />Patricia Armstron~, Mariposa Apartments, 1107 Second Street, described <br />the problems tenants of her building experienced with flooding of the <br />underground garage and damage to automobiles. Ms. Armstrong urged <br />Council to do whatever is necessary to eliminate flooding in the <br />area. <br /> <br />It was pointed out that the flooding is a problem in both the City and <br />County areas and requires cooperation of both agencies and that the <br />City is willing to do so. Residents of the area were urged to bring <br />the matter to the attention of the Board of Supervisors and urge them <br />to cooperate with the City in order to solve the problem. <br /> <br />L - <br /> <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />MIS: Stangel/Leipzig to adjourn to executive session and to reconvene solely to <br />adjourn.
